Google-formatted XML for Microsoft Shopping
Microsoft Merchant Center supports Google-formatted XML. The Bing option therefore uses the same RSS structure and Google namespace as the Google export, with a separate feed URL and saved file.
Each public variant becomes an item with a stable variant ID, listing price, availability and product link. Available images, descriptions and brand are carried over from Shopify. You can generate this file without connecting a Microsoft Advertising account.
Connect the feed to Microsoft Merchant Center
The exporter keeps the store’s listing currency. Choosing a different target country in an advertising account does not convert the prices in the XML. Make sure the feed and storefront are appropriate for your intended market.
- Generate the feed with Microsoft / Bing Shopping XML selected.
- Copy the direct XML URL into your Merchant Center feed setup using the URL download option, or download the file for upload.
- Select the appropriate market and review the processed products and any feed errors in your account.
Refresh Bing independently
The Bing feed is cached separately from the other formats. Generating a fresh Bing export updates that saved file while existing Google, Facebook and TikTok exports retain their own timestamps. Ordinary requests reuse the Bing file for 24 hours.
The tool does not manage bids, create campaigns or guarantee product approval. Merchant Center may require account settings and product attributes that are not present in the public Shopify catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the Bing XML contain g: fields?
The g: prefix identifies the Google product-data namespace. Microsoft accepts that XML format, so it is expected in this export.
Can I generate Google and Bing feeds for the same shop?
Yes. Generate each format from the dropdown. Their URLs and caches are separate, so you can refresh one without replacing the other.
Will this submit products to Microsoft automatically?
It creates and hosts the XML. You configure retrieval or upload in your own Merchant Center account and review the resulting product status there.
