Built to handle more than a small sample
The exporter reads the storefront one page at a time and writes the XML as it goes. You do not need to upload a CSV or keep the complete catalog in your browser while it is generated. After the file is ready, choose whether to download it or use the hosted URL.
A production check on 7 September 2026 exported 14,938 Shopify products into 15,551 variant items. The Google XML file was approximately 47 MB. That is a recorded test result, not a guarantee of completion time or compatibility for every store.
Know the current export limits
Storefront speed, image lists and description length all affect the export. These are service limits; your destination may impose smaller file or item limits.
Products with 250 or more variants cannot be safely exported through this public-data route because their public listing may be truncated. The exporter reports the issue instead of silently publishing an incomplete catalog.

Generate once, reuse the completed file
The completed feed is reused for 24 hours. A failed refresh does not replace a previously completed file with partial XML. If generation fails, read the reported reason before trying again; repeated forced requests do not solve a source-data or size limit.
- Verify the store and choose the format your destination needs.
- Start generation and allow a little longer for a large catalog. Keep the page open until the feed is ready.
- Copy the hosted feed URL to avoid downloading the file into your browser, or download the XML when you need a local copy.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a 32 MiB total catalog limit?
No. Catalog pages are processed individually rather than accumulating the entire JSON catalog. Individual page responses, the final XML file and overall generation time still have limits.
Does a large store cost more to export?
No. The tool is free within the service limits shown above. There is no per-product charge or paid upgrade in this tool.
Will all of my products be included?
The exporter reads the available public listing until it reaches an empty page. Private or unpublished products are unavailable, and unreadable pages, repeated pagination or potentially truncated variants cause a visible error.
